Product Description

Jethro Tull ‎– Aqualung
Reprise Records ‎– MS 2035
Vinyl, LP, Album, Textured Gatefold
1st pressing
First US press with ":r" logos w/ orange background on tan label; Stereo designation on bottom of label.
'Olde English' font
There are versions of this label without the 'Stereo' designation, and some disagreement as to what constitutes a 1st pressing. We believe the 'Stereo' designation pre-dates the non version for two reasons 1) by 1971, mono pressings had all but been eliminated by the record industry and there was no reason to designate the LP as such; therefore a label adjustment would be made to eliminate the designation, and not visa versa; 2) the white label promo issue, which would have been an advance release, has the Stereo label (in black and white of course).
Gatefold cover is a 1st issue textured variation
includes the inner lyric sheet and Warner/Reprise Loss Leaders paper sleeve
COVER - VG+ : a solid example of this condition - structurally solid with the type of wear the design expected to occur (giving it an 'old-timey' look, much like another Reprise issue of the period, Neil Young's Harvest cover)
Vinyl - NM

STRICT Goldmine Magazine standards used for evaluation
